"Well, you seem like you're a lot more in control than I am," Steve says, laughing softly. Women control their desire better as a general rule and Peggy is known for being cool under pressure.

Peggy's eyes flick to the driver and then back to Steve, a touch embarrassed at the discussion and luckily, her cover allows her to press her hand to her cheeks, as if they're heated and flushed. "Steve, not in public," is her coy remark, but she winks at him when the driver is making a turn, glad to see the house around the bend.
"You're going to have to give me fifteen minutes when we get in," she says. "To freshen up, and all."
"I don't think you need any time to freshen up but if you think so, I'll be
happy to give it to you," Steve says. He thinks it will give him a chance
to calm down and be a little less like an eager puppy. Jumping all over her
isn't going to do himself any favors and while he loves her, he also needs
to calm himself about this.
Still, it's easier said than done. All he wants is to have Peggy in his
arms and play like this marriage is real. "It'll give me a chance to get my
head together."
"I don't think you'll mind waiting just a little," Peggy promises, not if she's still got it. She might not have moved on romantically or had any trysts, but she's used her sexuality and her body on missions before and it's never done her wrong. It's slightly thrilling to get to do it for a man she actually loves, even she's furiously nervous about what comes after.
She steps out of the car and digs through her purse to find the keys, heading straight inside to the bedroom to collect her things before Steve can see what she's taken from the suitcase (which, honestly, now she understands why Rose had packed it) before locking the bathroom door behind her to change. "Fourteen minutes!" she calls, with promise in her voice.
"I'll be waiting!" Steve calls back. It makes him nervous, too, but the
nerves are more of anticipation than fear. He's definitely ready to take
this step with Peggy and has been for a long time. Ever since he first
locked eyes on her, there's been no one else for him but Peggy Carter. He's
smitten with her and he respects her deeply.
To help pass the time, he shrugs off his jacket and loosens his tie. He
doesn't normally wear a lot of scent but a little cologne to refresh what
he'd put on earlier isn't a bad idea and he does that.
She takes off the ring and the gloves, but the ring is laid reverently on the sink, as she fully intends to put it back on after. It might not be the one that Steve had picked for her, but it's a symbol all the same. It takes a little work to slide on the lingerie set, but mainly so she doesn't put a run in her stockings with her long nails. Adjusting the brassiere, she dabs perfume in the appropriate spots, turning to the mirror to do something with her hair that allows some of the curls to loosen and relax, as they won't be properly held up for very much longer at all.
With a last check, she applies fresh lipstick and knows she's finished with three minutes to spare. "Close your eyes," she calls from past the door, sliding the ring back on her finger as she grasps a heavy shawl to cover herself, hiding the effect. "Or blindfold yourself, if you're keen."
Steve doesn't blindfold himself but he dutifully closes his eyes, not
wanting to spoil whatever surprise Peggy has for him. He can smell her
perfume and it's always been a scent he's loved; it's haunted him at night
sometimes and to smell it now and know she's here? It's a little bit like
heaven. A lot like heaven, if he's honest with himself.
"I'm not going to peek," he promises. "Scouts' honor."
Peggy takes in a deep breath for courage just outside the bathroom door, steadying herself as she approaches, a touch more makeup around her eyes to allow for a smoky effect. She knows she needs none of this to please Steve, but it's also their first time and she wants to make it special. If she has her way, they'll get a chance to do this plenty and she'll have every morning to wake up to him, as natural as ever. Right now, she could use a little show, just like that pub when she'd put on that red dress intending to impress.
Settling in a straddle, she wraps an arm around his neck and reaches up to pry the hand off his eyes, a hungry look in her eyes. "Well?" she asks.
There's no words for it. Steve has wanted Peggy almost since the first time
he clapped eyes on her and while he's never been the kind of guy
comfortable with making the first move, somehow it had been
different with her. The nervous flutter in his belly is more out of
anticipation and desire than shyness and he slides his hands up, following
a path from her hips up to her waist.
"Like you even have to ask," he says, laughing softly. "Are you going to
kiss me, Peggy Rogers?"
Peggy shifts the sweater down a little so that it shows off her bare shoulders, followed by letting it pool on the ground behind her, as she rocks forward and presses her chest forward as he traces those beautiful hands of his to her waist. "You do know that I would keep my name, if we got married," she says, not truly understanding why she feels it important to make that clarification in the middle of a seduction, but she does.

"I don't care if you want to change your name to Stark," Steve says, eyes wide and fingers exploring all the soft, soft skin he's only ever dreamed about. He has loved her for almost as long as he's known her and finally getting a chance to express that physically? Well, no pressure, but this is the most important thing he's ever done in his life.
"I just want to know I can call you mine at the end of the day. Can I do that, Peggy Carter?"
"Oh, I think you might mind if I was Peggy Stark," is her wry reply to that, mapping his fingers with her own to twine them together, sliding them upwards towards the clasp of her bra, settling Steve's fingers there and then sliding them away, a tease more than anything.
She moves his hands to the hook of her stockings, though, giving him something better to do, if he intends to undress her. "Promise that when our mission here is done, you don't go back to them, not without me. I'm not letting them take you from me again."

He's done this a handful of times with a handful of women but none of them have been women he's in love with like he loves Peggy and so that, in and of itself, gives him nerves. Peggy leans back just enough to give Steve the space to work on his clothes, an eager look on her face as she reaches down to the belt, guided there so helpfully. She's not hesitant at all about stripping it off him, throwing it into the pile with his other things.
